Sonder is actively seeking a dynamic Director of Sales who excels in time and project management, showcases creativity and entrepreneurial thinking, and is ready to roll up their sleeves to achieve the set objectives.

In this pivotal role, you will manage, mentor, and support our senior sales managers, with a keen focus on augmenting sales through local broker networks. You will collaborate with the Community Outreach team to broaden our reach within community organizations, thereby boosting our visibility and fostering incremental growth. Your partnership with the Chief Growth Officer and other cross-functional leaders will be instrumental in executing programs and ensuring seamless workflows.

As the Director of Sales, your primary objective will be to propel growth by strategizing and managing sales as Sonder's market and membership base expands. You'll have the responsibility of optimizing all available resources, leveraging technology and data to guide your sales approach and other crucial performance metrics.

Your duties as Director of Sales will encompass:

  • Building relationships with external distribution channels.
  • Aiding in the formation of growth strategies and company objectives.
  • Meeting or exceeding company sales objectives.
  • Identifying training needs for different departments, teams, and individuals through skill gap analyses.
  • Designing training programs that align with business goals for each market.
  • Demonstrating a track record of managing performance, developing talent, coaching, and team growth.
  • Enhancing the skills of field community organizers to improve lead generation quality.
  • Facilitating live and remote training presentations.
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of Sonder Health's offerings vis-à-vis other MA plans in the market.
  • Managing budgets associated with inside sales and pilot programs.
  • Analyzing the performance of inside sales and field sales teams and implementing operational changes for a more streamlined sales process.
  • Ensuring accurate tracking of sales processes in Salesforce and identifying areas for process enhancement.
  • Documenting training procedures and their outcomes.
  • Creating reports and conducting analyses of training outcomes.
  • Exhibiting superior relationship management skills.

  • You hold an Accidental Health License.

  • You have demonstrated experience selling into the healthcare market.
  • You excel in relationship management.
  • You have experience in high-volume, competitive sales.
